Discover the Sian Ka´an Biosphere Reserve, located in the State of Quintana. Sian Ka´an means in Maya language “origin of the sky”. During this tour you will enjoy a boat trip along the mangrove forests & wetlands of Sian Ka’an watching how the ecosystems change (mangrove, wetlands, savanna, jungle and lagoon) until to arrive to Xlapak, an area where we will find a small Maya vestige in the middle of the wetlands and where we will refresh ourselves along a water canal.
The expedition continues arriving to the Muyil archaeological site, where we will hike in the Maya jungle and we take a look to some pyramids and vestiges from the Maya culture and take a delicious regional lunch. Finally, our journey finishes with a visit to an underground river where we will swim and snorkel. -This expedition is not suitable for people with severe physical or motor handicap, serious heart problems, for overweight people and people who are not able to handle physical activity. Neither for those who suffer claustrophobia or do not know how to swim. It is definitely not allowed for pregnant women. People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in this expedition.
